Projector

The Accurate Laserprojector is LaserAnimation's development in the laser scanning technique. It is primarily intended to be used as a fiber-fed remote projector but may also be used on an optical bench.
A compact enclosure houses a set of x-y scanners (Cambridge Technologies Inc, Mod. 6800HP) with drivers and power supply.The driver electronics were developed by LaserAnimation and have several advantages:

- unique power limiter that does not shrink down the size of the projected image if the scanspeed is increased,
- Superior thermal stability due to selected electrical components,
- High speed and accuracy.

The enclosure is designed to act as a generous heatsink and to protect the delicate optics and electronics even in rough environments and during transportation. A stable and adjustable hanger is provided for rig- or wall-mounting.

The high quality B+W antireflective coated output window (M55 thread camera standard) is easily removable for cleaning or exchange if damaged. The optional fiber output coupler with SMA connector is directly attached to the enclosure. The focus is easily adjustable from outside the enclosure, even the achromatic output lens may be removed for cleaning or exchange without opening the projector.

The projector has safety features such as a scan-fail safety circuit that shuts off the laser beam if the scanners do not work properly or if dangerous hot spots (velocity of x and y scanner is below a certain limit) occur. In order to have the possibility to target the laserbeam to bounce-mirrors, the margins of the window (scan-fail window) in which the velocity is controlled may be adjusted. If an unsafe condition occurs, a blank signal is created to blank off the laserbeam by the color control (PCAOModulator). An internal photodiode checks whether the laser light is really turned off by the PCAOM and in a fault condition closes the mechanical shutter inside the projector. The scanners are switched off and the shutter is closed if the supply voltage is out of the correct voltage range.

All necessary controls are located on the rear panel of the projector. These include offset and size trimmpots and inverter switches for each axis, indicator LEDs for the incoming signals and the scanner positions, and adjustments for the scan-fail window. The -6 db switch is used to reduce the signals if balanced signals are used. The voltage selector makes it easy to use the projector abroad.

Algemene informatie over het projectie-systemen 

De door Laserforum ontwikkelde enkel- en dubbelstraals projectie-systemen zijn van zeer hoge kwaliteit en volgens de ILDA norm gestandaardiseerd. High-speed scanners zorgen voor een optimale projectie. Het is mogelijk om direct met de laserstraal in de projector te gaan of indirect met een laserlichtgeleider. De Iaserlichtgeleider biedt een grote flexibiliteit in de opstelling van de apparatuur. Een voorbeeld van een laserlichtgeleider is de glasvezelkabel.

RGB 
De kleurmenging biedt de mogelijkheid om 16,8 miljoen kleuren te produceren. Elke kleurcombinatie is op ieder willekeurig moment in de grafiek op te roepen. Verder is de projector voorzien van een veiligheids-shutter en voldoet dit systeem aan de strengste eisen. 

Systemen 
Het projectie systeem is modulair van opbouw, d.w.z. men start met bv. 1 projectie systeem (enkelstraals) en is met een extra systeem (dubbelstraals) uit te breiden. 

Waterscreen

Since a few years Laserforum uses a waterscreen. This screen may not be the kind of waterscreen you know. Th enige jaren heeft laserforum een waterscherm in gebruik. Het waterscherm dat we in onze shows gebruiken is geen waterscherm zoals u die misschien kent. De reeds bestaande waterschermen vonden wij kwalitatief niet goed genoeg om tegen te projecteren. Om deze reden hebben wij zelf een waterscherm ontwikkeld, dat aan onze eisen voldoet.
Een betere waterverdeling en dus een betere laserprojectie.

Het door ons ontworpen waterscherm is niet alleen uitermate geschikt voor laserprojecties, maar ook voor dia- of videoprojecties. Het maakt een lasershow weer net even iets mooier dan wanneer je een normaal scherm zou gebruiken.

Tevens is het voor open-airshows niet altijd mogelijk om een gewoon scherm te gebruiken.
Bij windvlagen kan men kiezen voor een waterscherm i.p.v. een normaal scherm.
